Floyd Mayweather and Chili A Couple.....?

According to sources, there was a private event held at the estate of Charles Mathis; in which Chili presented the " Cusp Leadership" award to Sen. Kasim Reed from Music Is My Business and Enchanted Public Relations.  Throughout the night, Mayweather and Chili were spotted nice and cuddly.  When mentioned about him, she referred to Mayweather as "her baby". I say they make a nice couple and wish them the best.  Guess it takes a good woman to make a man act right..lol!

Rapper Bump J Gets a 10 Year Bid for Robbery

In other unimportant news, Rapper Terrance "Bump J" Boykin was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison for his role in a 2007 bank robbery in Illinois.  Faced with a possible life sentence, Boykin accepted a plea deal that carries a minimum seven year sentence.  On June 26, Boykin admitted his guilt in the Jan. 4, 2007 robbery of the Chase Bank, 800 Madison St., which netted $108,135.  He also admitted threatening bank employees with a gun.  Under federal sentencing guidelines, Boykin, 28, faced between 37 and 46 months in prison for the bank robbery itself, but life in prison for menacing bank employees with a .45 caliber handgun.  He will be required to serve a mandatory minimum seven years on the charge of brandishing a gun during a crime.  Once signed to Atlantic Records, Bump J with such artists as Kanye West and Rhymefest and he has dropped several mixtapes.  Guess this a simple case of when keeping it GANGSTER goes wrong.  Keep ya head up Bump J!

DMX IN MMA FIGHT

Say it ain't so.....Rapper DMX is scheduled to enter the ring to fight Mixed Martial Arts fighter Eric Martinez in late December.  The event called Alabama Pride, which Thunder Promotions will host, will take place in Birmingham, Alabama.  Additionally, on that same card will be a matchup between Butterbean and Tank Abbott.  Only thing I can say is.....Cocaine is a hell of a drug!

Weezy Turns 27

Special shout out to Lil Wayne who turned 27 last week.  For his birthday, Wayne received a $1 million dollar Chopard watch and $200,000 necklace to match from Baby.   To top it all off, his birthday cake was literally iced with REAL diamonds.  Fellow Cash Money members were also there to help him celebrate.  And who says we're in a recession........  

Lamar and Khloe Tie The Knot

Newlyweds Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, who were married on Sunday, walk together outside the hotel at which they were staying. The wedding took place at a private residence in Beverly Hills.

Chicago Honor Student Beaten to Death

Last week, a 16 year old Chicago Honor student was severely beaten to death by a Chicago gang.  The video image you're about to view is very disturbing.


My prayers go to the family of Derrion Albert.  The violence has to stop between us as a people.  This incident is uncalled for and I hope justice is served to all involved in this altercation.

Kanye West Sighting

Over the weekend, Yeezy was a surpise guest at Common's benefit concert in LA.  Other artists on the bill included: Ludacris, Nas, Ludacris, De La Soul, The Roots, Mos Def,  and Talib Kweli.  Check out the video for the crowd's reaction.

Young Buck Disses Eminem

Although some rap beef has been squashed earlier this week (Jeezy and Dj Drama; DMX and Ja Rule); the new beef between Young Buck and Eminem is one I dont understand.  Young Buck recently recorded a song titled, "If I Have To".  Within the song he says,

"Cool, turn me up my n*gga," Buck says in the beginning. "[laughs] Eminem, we coming for your a**, ain't that right Coop? Man, we go too hard, for real. Shoot a n*gga dead right now if I had to/Hop out, walk up and just blast you/Snatch him out his Chevy/Take what's on his wrist, let the young n*ggas strip it...I'm pissed, you don't want your name on that list/'fore we come through, n*gga, we don't miss/Throwing shells out the chopper..."

First of all, how do you go from literally crying on the phone to 50 Cent to dissing Eminem?  Where have you been? What song do you have out that's hot?  Oh well, hopefully Em doesnt respond to such nonsesne, but I know he will.  I will keep you posted. 

T-Ellen.....?

Earlier this week, T-Pain was a guest on the Ellen show; in the two did a semi-duet together that didnt sound too bad.  Only thing I can say about T-Pain is that you can't knock his hustle; the man totally took autotune to a different level.  Meanwhile check out the video of the two; this ish is funny as hell!

Lil Boosie Recieves 2 Year Bid

Rapper Torrence Hatch, better known as Lil Boosie was sentenced to 2 years behind bars Tuesday afternoon, after accepting a plea deal in which he admitted to drug and weapon possession in an arrest last fall.  Lil Boosie was scheduled to stand trial tnext Monday, but instead entered a plea deal today to avoid trial. Last fall, police reportedly seized a bag of marijuana, a cigar containing the drugs and a gun from Boosie's car.  Let me be the first to say.......FREE LIL BOOSIE!!   In  the meantime, go cop his CD tcalled, "Super Bad" and check out his latest video with Young Jeezy titled, "You better Believe It.  Keep ya head Lil Boosie, we will see you soon!

Khloe And Lamar To Wed This Sunday

According to sources, Kloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom will wed this Sunday at a private residence in LA.  Guests to include the whole Los Angeles Lakers basketball team--including Kobe Bryant!  I wish both Khloe and Lamar the best of luck

Another One Bites The Dust.....

Former New York Giants star Plaxico Burress officially started his 2 year prison bid for weapon charges today at Rikers Island.  He will later be transferred Fishkill Correctional Facility to serve out his sentence.  The charges stemmed from an incident late last fall, in which Burress accidentally shot himself in the thigh at a Manhattan nightclub with a gun that had not been licensed in New York.  He is expected to serve about 20 months with credit for good behavior.  My prayers go out to him and his family through this time of hardship.

Money Mayweather Reigns Again

In his first fight back from retirement and a 21-month hiatus, Mayweather dominated his opponent, the undersized Marquez in the second round and then showered him with countless pounding shots to remain unbeaten in 40 pro fights.  Although Juan Marquez was just 130 pounds 18 months ago, he moved up two weight classes to be Mayweather's hand-picked comeback opponent.  During Friday's weigh-in, he was four pounds lighter than Mayweather, who paid a hefty six-figure penalty for missing the bout weight.  With this fight out of the way, people are now talking Mayweather vs. Pacquiao........guess we will have to wait and see what's next!

Tragedy For Rapper Common

                                  

Sources have confirmed the Common's cousin, Ajile Turner, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Brooklyn last night.  It happened on the corner of Greene Ave. and Washington Ave.  Im told that cops responded to a call involving a motorcyclist colliding with a guy on a bicycle; in which it was Turner was on the motorcycle.  Both men were taken to Brooklyn Hospital and both were pronounced dead on arrival.  My prayers go out to Common's family and others that were in involved.
